Part-Time 24+ hours/weekly SUMMARY – Perform ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians and report the preliminary findings to the Radiologists. Position Type: Part Time Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Friday Days, Saturday rotation Location: Voorhees Women's Center ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Review personal information for accuracy , patient information ,referring physician, referral/script prior to performing the examination Explain procedure to patient and answer any questions regarding the exam procedure Perform a high quality ultrasound studies as ordered by the referring physicians’ orders Review images with radiologists when necessary Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations Provide accurate written technical interpretation to Radiologist Maintain exam rooms, which may include stocking with supplies Maintain work area and equipment QC checklist Travel to SJRA offices as necessary Punctuality and regular attendance All other duties as assigned 80-85% of shift standing scanning patients Repetitive motion using transducers Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and twisting, assisting patients on and off examination table Patient contact Assist patients on and off exam tables as indicated Potential exposure for any communicable disease Potential exposure to blood and body fluids Contact with coworkers, patients and their family members, physicians, referring physicians and their office staff
RDMS (Abdomen and/or OB/GYN) RVT preferred Two years experience as ultrasound technologist preferred Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology Proficient computer skills Infection control practices Knowledge of pathology Knowledge of image interpretation High level disinfectant procedures Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables. Working Conditions – Indoor office setting with daily patient contact. There is the potential of exposure to blood and other body fluids.

Requires RDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN, with RVT preferred. Two years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and an associate degree are preferred.
