As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you are a member of the dedicated CNA team that is responsible for providing quality care and support to our patients who are in the final stages of their life while providing understanding and emotional support to the families. This position is responsible for providing the care and assistance to patients in their private homes and Assisted Living Facility (ALF) by following the direction of the IDG care plan under the direction of the RN.
To allow timely care to our patients, it is preferred that the hospice aide live no more than 25 miles from the assigned areas. The CNA will care for patients for the assigned areas of Cherokee & Bartow County.
This position will have the expectation of working Monday - Friday, 8-hour day shift. Daily driving to, between and from patients' location, reliable transportation is required, eligible for mileage reimbursement.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience to be considered: High school diploma or GED. Graduate from an approved training competency course, registered Nurse Aide with the State of Georgia. Meet federal Home Health Aide training and competency requirements. Minimum of solid 2 years' experience as a nursing assistant. Active patient contact within the past three years, preferred. Proven and dependable career work history as a CNA. Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability.
Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials.
Must have a current valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.
This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.
