The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment for operative procedures. They function as a key member of the surgical team across various specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology.

UCSF Stanyan Operating Room (OR) consists of 8 surgical suites for inpatient and outpatient surgeries.

Services include, but are not limited to: Orthopedics, General, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Pain Service, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Podiatry.

Responsibilities

Carries out responsibilities within the scope of Practice. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR for healthcare providers High School Diploma; or equivalent experience Graduate of surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma, graduate from a surgical technologist training program, and hold a current AHA CPR certification. Certification as a Surgical Technologist and experience in specific surgical services are preferred.
