About the role

The therapist provides clinical social work services, crisis intervention, and family therapy to patients in a behavioral health crisis. They focus on stabilization and developing plans for patients to return to community living.

Responsibilities

Therapist - Licensed Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.

Qualifications

  • Therapist The Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.
  • Inpatient and Outpatient opportunities available.
  • Social Worker Requirements: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or clinical related field Licensed in the State of Iowa as a t-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW or LISW Superb documentation skills Good communication and relationship skills including the ability to set boundaries, hold confidences, establish and maintain trust.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field and be licensed in Iowa (t-LMHC, LMHC, LMSW, or LISW). Current CPR and Mandatory Reporter certifications for adults and children are required.
