The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians. The role ensures patient safety and high-quality care while adhering to ALARA principles and regulatory requirements.

Expected pay for this position is $44.21- $57.87/hour.

Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

Overview

Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of the radiologist and nuclear medicine physician. The technologist applies established protocols and technical skills to provide safe, accurate, and high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. This role complies with As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles and all regulatory and safety requirements in the performance of nuclear medicine studies.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree.

Licensure/

Certification:

IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT)(NM) registered or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) registry required.

Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Other

Skills/

Knowledge:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

Candidates must complete a formal Nuclear Medicine program and hold an IEMA license along with ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry certification. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required, and one year of experience is preferred.
