Franciscan Health Dyer Campus 24 Joliet St Dyer, Indiana 46311 The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is responsible for operating specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. This position assists in training students and technologists and performs injection procedures. The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. Complete all CT exams and procedures; obtain the most optimal images for physician interpretation while processing and evaluating images according to policy and protocol. Confirm patient identity. Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results. Review and update patient documentation in EMR and PACS. Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media. Practice established safety guidelines and utilizes ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.

Qualifications

Preferred Associate's Degree in Radiology Required Certificate in Radiology 2 years Radiology Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Radiography (ARRT-R) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Indiana within 180 days Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 1 year TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20% EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law. Requirements

Requires a certificate in radiology and ARRT certifications in Radiography and Computed Tomography. Preferred qualifications include an associate's degree in radiology, BLS certification, and 2 years of experience.
