Hours are either 4 10s or 5 8s Monday thru Friday, no call weekends, or holidays currently.
To provide perioperative nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. There are on-call requirements for this position.
BSN from an accredited school or college of nursing. Teammates hired or transferred into this role before July 1, 2022 without a BSN are considered “grandfathered”, but must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing.
At least 2 years in operating room nursing or 4 years in operating room surgical technology or sterile processing. Demonstrated working knowledge of specialty being coordinated.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Certification in operating room nursing preferred (OR); certification in post-anesthesia nursing preferred (PACU) Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
