About the role

The RN will provide care to patients in a cardiology clinic, including obtaining vital signs, triaging calls, and managing prescription refills. They will also oversee patient charts and ensure proper scheduling and documentation.

Overview

RN will facilitate and provide care to patients in our busy and fast paced cardiology clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains basic vital signs on patients (weight, BP, EKG, etc.).
  • Triage patient phone calls.
  • Monitor lab results/report these to physician.
  • Review test results with patient as instructed by provider Manage prescription refills with patient/pharmacy/provider.
  • Oversee patients' charts for appointment (make sure all records are in chart/referrals in chart/any test results in chart)/ Pre-load information into Epic.
  • Make sure patients are appropriately scheduled according to guidelines.
  • Assist with prior authorizations.

Qualifications

  • Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and people skills required.
  • Successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once in an organized manner.
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience in cardiology preferred.
  • Experience in physician practice setting preferred.
  • ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • BSN Degree and valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.

Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in cardiology and possess a valid RN license. ACLS and BLS certifications are required, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
