Provide basic clinical and clerical support for patient care, including taking vitals and conducting point of care testing. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations to support physicians.
Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role. Clinical/Administrative duties included but not limited to:
vitals, outside medication reconciliation, outside allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed
Provides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
Floats to other offices based on business needs.
Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Requires a diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification as a CNA, EMT, or Paramedic, plus BLS certification. One year of direct patient care experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
