The ED Technician provides advanced physical care and clinical procedures to patients under the direction of an RN and Physician. They are responsible for maintaining a clean environment and ensuring patient comfort within the emergency department.
Variable PRN medic hours are 8-4 and 4-12, weekends are 12hrs 9-9 Under the direction of the RN, the ED Technician facilitates patient care by providing advanced physical care and clinical procedures, providing patients with comfort measures and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Works as a member of the ED patient care team within the guidelines of his/her certification under the direct supervision of an ED Physician.
Candidates must be a Florida Paramedic with BLS certification, while ACLS and an Associate's degree are preferred. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
