Provides direct patient care
Performs specific documentation in the patient's record
Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance
Communicates appropriate information intradepartmental and interdepartmental
Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.
Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.
Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Work Experience Previous relevant experience or completion of base skills as a registered nursing student Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
