About the role

Participants will learn and provide direct patient care, including assisting residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities. Responsibilities also include monitoring vital signs and collaborating with the nursing team to implement individualized care plans.

Situated at 212 Ellen St., Oneonta, TLC Nursing Center is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to our residents.

We are currently offering a Certified Nursing Assistant training program for individuals interested in filling nursing aide positions.

As a participant in our training program, you will learn essential skills and knowledge to provide direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living.

Under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals, you will gain hands-on experience and training to prepare you for a rewarding career in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant: Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks.

Providing assistance with mobility, including transferring residents to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment.

Assisting residents with toileting and incontinence care with dignity and respect.

Monitoring and documenting residents' vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant information as directed by nursing staff.

Assisting with mealtime activities, including feeding residents who require assistance and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.

Providing companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging in conversation and activities to promote socialization and well-being.

Collaborating with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.

Participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge as a healthcare professional.

Upon successful completion of the training program, you will transition into a role at TLC Nursing Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant based on shift availability and need.
