The Registered Nurse (RN) works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive, community-based medical care for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
Medical management and treatment: Overseeing and administering medications, which may include managing IM injections based on physician orders.
Holistic assessment and evaluation: Assessing and responding to the ongoing health and wellness of clients, including screening for depression, trauma, and substance use.
Documentation: Completing all required documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and recovery plans, in accordance with RHD and licensing body standards.
Health education: Training RHD staff and educating clients and their families on common health concerns to support overall wellness.
Coordination of care: Working as a liaison to help clients secure necessary medical care, including coordinating with prescribers and other medical providers.
Collaboration: Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic, value-based services.

Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor's degree in nursing).
Licensing: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Pennsylvania
Experience: Prior nursing or human services experience preferred.
Other requirements: A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
