About the role

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs cardiovascular anatomy and physiology testing using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. They are responsible for visualizing and recording quality images while supporting the mission and values of the Cardiovascular Services division.

Overview

The Cardiovascular Testing department uses state of the art equipment, by multi Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers to perform both normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology.

The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system (at multiple ambulatory locations).

Demonstrated proficiency must be in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.

The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer will also understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required - And Registered Vascular Technologist Required - Or Registered Cardiac Sonographer Required - And Registered Vascular Specialist Required Education

Graduate Cardiac Ultrasound Required Graduate Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound Required Associate's Degree Cardiovascular Sonography Required Experience

1 Year Clinical - Ultrasound Required

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography and possess relevant certifications such as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist. A minimum of one year of clinical ultrasound experience is required.
