The Monitor Technician is responsible for documenting and interpreting telemetry rhythm strips and communicating critical patient information to the healthcare team. They must continuously ensure the monitoring system is functioning correctly and follow emergency escalation protocols.
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time Monitor Technician to work 7PM-7AM
1. Documents and interprets telemetry rhythm strips at intervals and with patient changes.
2. Performs independent check of strips to include: time, PR interval measurement, QRS measurement, QT measurement, ectopy and baseline rhythm
3. Assigns telemetry monitoring as ordered by physician
4. Effectively communicates telemetry-related patient information to members of the health care team
5. Continuously checks telemetry monitoring system to ensure proper working order.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of escalating medical emergency and Code Blue process.
7. May perform relevant duties as needed

Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course, and the ability to pass a telemetry pre-test. Previous monitor technician or clinical experience is preferred.
