Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care and make critical assessments! You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.

Expectations

Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. Requirements

Required: Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA) Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited medical assisting program with a valid national certification (AAMA/CMA, RMA, or NCMA). Additionally, a completed Medication Aide course or a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
