About the role

Deliver comprehensive care to patients in the Mother/Baby unit using the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate interventions. Maintain continuity of care and implement age-specific safety and infection control measures.

Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time Nights – Family Centered Care - Mother Baby for Texas Health HEB Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022 Work hours: Full-Time, Night shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Mother/Baby Unit Department highlights: 12 bed Mother Baby and Maternal/Newborn Unit 9 bed LDR, 3 OR suites, 4 bed OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month Level III NICU Couplet care and Maternal Designation Level III Maternal Designation Certification rate over 50%25 Nursing Clinical Ladder participation rate over 50%25

Here’s What You Need Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required 1 year of Mother/Baby experience preferred What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Requirements

Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma and a valid RN license, with BCLS certification and NRP/CPI training within 90 days. At least one year of RN experience or completion of a residency program is required.
