Provide clinical support to providers by managing patient flow and performing clinical duties including wound care and casting. Maintain patient medical records and ensure exam rooms meet regulatory standards.
Work closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas. Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods. Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces. Perform wound care and deliver patient education. Respond to triages as needed or assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures. Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed. Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information. Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries. Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards. Audit new patient charts. Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area. Train others as needed or directed. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. QualificationsRequirements and Qualifications Valid NYS LPN License or ATC BOC certification. 2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients preferred, but not required. Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred. EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred. Physical Demands Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff. Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Extensive standing and walking required. Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients. Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk. The pay range for this position is determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, training, licenses, designations, and the overall market conditions. Requires a valid NYS LPN License or ATC BOC certification and knowledge of EMR systems. Experience in high-volume medical offices and wound care is highly preferred.
