The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments and applying diagnostic procedures to evaluate functional levels. They must collaborate with physicians to ensure appropriate orders and provide guidance and counseling to patients and their families.

How we support you professionally: This position is Per Diem and paid per unit Mileage reimbursement Company 401k with 4% company matching
Assist the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the patient's needs Assure that the physician's orders are appropriate and discusses necessary changes Teach, supervise, and counsel the family and patient in the total Occupational Therapy program Communicate with the physician on a regular basis regarding patient's status, obtaining additional orders, if necessary
The ability to drive Hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
Must be a graduate of an Occupational Therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association Preferably should be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association Must be licensed by the state Must have at least one year of institutional experience Must have a criminal background check Must have current CPR (BLS) certification
