Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.
Assist in visits and procedures for patients seeking abortion services or services for pregnancy loss, such as collecting supplies, printing consents, organizing instruments and medications, and/or assisting during the insertion of cervical dilators for surgical abortion procedures.
Assist provider with pelvic and breast exams for all patients.
Assist with cervical cytology screening and filling out appropriate forms
Assist with in-office surgical procedures such as miscarriage management, biopsies, colposcopy, and LEEP procedures of the cervix.
Assists with transgender and non-binary patients seeking gender-affirming therapy and/or surgery
Education: GED or HiSET (Required)

The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Depending on the level (MA I-IV), experience ranges from 1 to 5+ years or graduation from an accredited MA program.
