About the role

Provide high-quality medical care to patients including surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic imaging. Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with a diverse medical team in a full-service hospital setting.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma!

Location: 3800 E 2nd St, Edmond, OK 73034

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

Schedule: Variable; must be willing to work AM shifts for surgeries

With three experienced veterinarians who each bring their own unique style, we’re looking for someone adaptable, collaborative, and confident working alongside a diverse medical team — all while treating every patient and client like family.

Who You Are

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oklahoma, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
  • 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Confident with medical math and drug calculations
  • Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law

Requirements

Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Oklahoma or eligible for licensure within 3 months. Requires at least 3 years of clinical experience and proficiency in veterinary technical skills and medical calculations.
