About the role

The Surgical Coordinator manages the scheduling of procedures for surgery, pain management, and endoscopy. Responsibilities also include maintaining surgeon preference cards, performing chart audits, and handling daily patient charge reconciliation.

The Surgical Coordinator assists with and performs routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policy and procedures directed by the department supervisor. Duties include scheduling of procedures for surgery, pain management and endoscopy, maintenance of surgeon preference cards, post-operative data entry, chart audits and daily patient charge reconciliation.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates must be a high school graduate or GED holder with a current BLS certification. A minimum of one year of clinical experience or graduation from an approved technical program is required.
