Pay

• $21.50 to $23.50 per hour

Empathy Hands Home Care is looking for reliable, compassionate, and qualified caregivers to serve our clients in the Pomona area. Must be fluent in Spanish/English. We are looking for experienced Caregivers, CNAs, or senior companions. This is our agency's goal. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their home. This position requires a commitment to delivering personalized care while respecting the dignity and privacy of the clients you serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients with mobility assistance, including lifting when necessary.
• Medication reminders and monitoring health conditions.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

• Skills
• Experience in patient care or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of home community care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and this family
• Compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding.
• Ability to transfer the client safely when needed, adhering to proper lifting or transfer techniques.
• Familiarity with meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in outpatient, geriatrics, or in-home care settings.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach clients about their care plans effectively.
• Must be patient, empathetic, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
• Willing to work on Weekends
