- Shift: Fully In-Person/On-SiteAurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative Crisis Stabilization Unity (CSU), a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional care for individuals experience mental health crises. In this in-person daytime role, the NP will conduct psychiatric assessments, medication evaluations, and medication management services for the CSU patients, while collaborating closely with nurses, prescribers, mental health clinicians, and case management staff. When CSU census levels allow, the NP will also support AMHR's Psychiatric Access Clinic by providing timely evaluations and care for individuals needing urgent psychiatric services. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced prescribers in a collaborative environment focused on delivering state-of-the-art psychiatric care, psychotherapy, and social interventions within a five-day overnight crisis unit. The ideal candidate is passionate about behavioral health, committed to serving individuals in crisis, and enjoys working as part of a team to develop effective solutions and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on years of licensure and company equity and paid bi-weekly. The $58.94 - $75.07 per hour

- Differential: In addition to the base hourly rate, PRN employees receive a 10% PRN pay differential. This additional compensation recognizes the flexibility required of PRN staff and their availability to cover shifts on an as-needed basis, including unexpected staffing needs and schedule gaps. As a result, PRN employees earn their base hourly rate plus an additional 10% premium for all hours worked. Shift Differential Pay. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am

This PRN role is fully onsite/in-person and requires availability to complete initial in-person orientation and training during the scheduled onboarding week (Tuesday - Thursday), followed by up to eight (8) paid training shifts within the first two months, scheduled based on operational needs. To remain active in PRN status, employees are expected to work at least two shifts per month, with each shift lasting a minimum of five (5) hours, unless otherwise approved.

- Functions: Provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis. As within the State outlined scope of practice. Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary. Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed. Share 24-hour on call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned. Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate. Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed. Attend team and other meetings, as necessary. Provide consultation with staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed. Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies. Complete required education and training in a timely manner. Accurately and completely document patient care. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.
- QualificationsRequirements: Master's degree in Nursing with Prescriptive Authority. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry.

- Requirement: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado NP license before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient. Certified as an advanced practitioner of nursing by the Colorado State Board of Nursing. Valid and Current DEA. Current knowledge of pharmacology. Ability to administer medications and injections. Knowledge of diagnoses and theoretical issues related to clinical treatment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record. Treatment philosophy consistent with managed care principles. Required Vaccination and TB Test. As part of this commitment, all employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work. Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions can be requested if necessary.
