About the role

As a Medication Aide, you will administer medications, observe residents for effectiveness and side effects, and assist with daily living activities. You will also communicate changes in resident conditions and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

What you’ll do

As a Medication Aide, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centered care.

Your responsibilities include

  • Administer medications according to physician orders and state regulations
  • Observe residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects
  • Accurately document medication administration
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team
  • Provide compassionate care while promoting resident dignity and independence
  • Respond promptly to resident needs
  • Work collaboratively with caregivers, nurses, and leadership to provide exceptional care

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Medication Aide certification (as required by state regulations)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Previous experience in assisted living or long-term care is preferred but not required
