ICCHC is currently seeking a full-time Optometric Technician for its Youngsville, LA location.
This position works under the supervision of the Optometrists and Office Manger. The Optometric Technician is a member of the eye care team. The Optometric Technician performs required visual tests and prepare patients to be examined by the Optometrist, provides quality direct patient care to all patients served in the optical setting and works to ensure smooth and efficient coordination between physician and patients. May also assist with front desk and optician tasks.
Candidates should be high school graduates, preferably with an Associate's Degree in Optometric Technology or a professional certification. Six months of experience in a vision office or as a medical assistant is highly preferred.
