We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team to ensure we are providing comprehensive care and supporting our patients’ long-term oral health.

Position Highlights

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in our patient care team. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, conducting oral health assessments, taking x-rays, applying fluoride or sealants, and educating patients on oral hygiene. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to build relationships with patients will help create a positive experience for everyone who visits our office.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments.
  • Examines gums using probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease; feels lymph nodes under patient’s chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate the presence of oral cancer.
  • Applies fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
  • Takes dental x-rays, exposes and develops x-ray film.
  • Records and reviews patient medical histories; charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
  • Maintains dental equipment and sharpens and sterilizes dental instruments.
  • Provides clinical services or health education to improve and maintain the oral health of patients or the general public.
  • Assist the surgeon during exams and procedures as needed

Qualifications

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license
  • CPR certification
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA and OSHA policies
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program, or the successful completion of a recognized vocational program in dental hygiene
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with patients of all ages
  • Proficiency in dental software systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care

Requirements

Requires a valid Dental Hygienist license, CPR certification, and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of HIPAA and OSHA policies and proficiency in dental software.
