As a Radiation Therapist at our dermatology practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering precise and effective radiation treatments for a range of dermatological conditions. You will be responsible for administering therapeutic radiation treatments to patients with dermatologic conditions under the direction of dermatologists and radiation oncologists. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our patients receive the best possible care in a safe and comfortable setting.
Essential Functions

Works under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist
Explains treatment plans to the patient and answer questions about treatment
Follows safety procedures to protect the patient and themselves from overexposure to radiation; examines machines to make sure they are safe and working properly
Checks computer programs to make sure the machine will give the correct dose of radiation to the appropriate area of the patient's body
Administers the prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts by positioning patients accurately according to the prescription, operating and adjusting the radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
Reviews prescription, diagnosis, patient chart and identification.
Monitors the patient to check for unusual reactions to the treatment.
Documents detailed treatment records in the patients EHR, schedules daily treatments, follows up with patients for appointments, and assists the Chief RTT as requested.
Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks in a collegial manner.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiation therapy and dermatology.
