  • Schedule: Full-Time Join our compassionate healthcare team as Pre-Op - PACU Registered Nurse, where you will play a pivotal role in a patient’s admission to the facility, comprehensive pre-operative care, immediate post-operative care, and stabilization for return to the home environment. Review patient's medical history and verify surgical consent forms and necessary documentation. Administer prescribed medications and intravenous fluids as per pre-operative protocols. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, expected outcomes, and post-operative care instructions. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any abnormalities to the surgical team. Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the pre-operative area. Ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly prior to procedures. Provide emotional support to patients and families, addressing any concerns or questions they might have. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical records. Participate in continuous education and training sessions to stay updated with the latest nursing practices in pre-op and PACU care. Follow hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care. Assist in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) as needed, monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse in the state with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or ASC operating room setting is required.
