The RC Assistant is responsible for providing basic respiratory care services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. The RC Assistant implements general respiratory care procedures to include; oxygen/humidity therapy, aerosol therapy, chest PT, medication nebulizers, IPPB, ABGs and other non-critical respiratory care procedures. The individual may not deliver mechanical ventilation or conduct invasive monitoring.
