  • Self-scheduling: 6-week schedules
  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • Every third weekend and 50% holiday rotation

Where you will work

6 South Med/Surg/Oncology is a 34-bed inpatient unit that provides care to patients with Pneumonia, COPD Exacerbation, Pancreatitis, Acute Renal failure, post-op, and Oncology. Become Chemo certified after 2 years. In addition, 6 South has 4 beds designated to meet inpatient hospice to provide continuity of care for our patients as they transition to end of life care. This is a great opportunity to build your foundation in nursing, become certified in the specialty of Med/Surg and learn a variety of skills applicable to any area.

What we are looking for

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • New RN's and Experienced RN's WELCOME!

What You’ll Do

Build foundational skills and knowledge through Nurse Residency and Preceptor directed orientation.

Build skills in time management, triaging accountabilities, communication skills, pharmacology, lab interpretation, pathophysiology of disease process through a variety of med/surg patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Develop collaborative relationships with a resourceful multi-disciplinary team.

Provide continuity of patient care through 12-hour shifts, patient centered care and team minded support.

Be a valued member of a highly skilled, resilient, and versatile nursing team committed to ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate healthcare to diverse patient populations.
