About the role

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing imaging procedures, preparing equipment, and administering contrast media. They must monitor patient status and analyze imaging results to ensure high-quality diagnostic output.

$51,376.00 - $66,352.00 Sign on Bonus – Yes Bonus Description $10,000 sign-on bonus paid in two equal installments after 90 days and 12 months of employment.

Must Haves Registered in MRI with ARRT or certified by ARMRIT Has or can obtain a NM state MRI license BLS certification upon hire Schedule: this is a full-time position that will work in an outpatient setting.

How you’ll contribute An MRI Technologist who excels in this role: Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

Prepares equipment and supplies.

Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

Enters, transmits and reports scan results

Requirements

Candidates must be ARRT registered or ARMRIT certified in MRI and hold a BLS certification. A New Mexico state MRI license is also required or must be obtainable.
