About the role

The Emergency Room Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Charge Nurse or Attending Physician. They are responsible for following established care plans and maintaining high standards of service within the emergency department.

Qualifications

  • Qualification High School diploma or equivalency Successful completion of a state-approved Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course that meets or exceeds the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician is preferred.
  • Successful completion of the cognitive and psychomotor exam for the National Registry of EMTs at a Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic level 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience as an emergency room technician or at least one year of experience as a primary EMS field provider or military equivalent BLS through American Heart Association, American Red Cross Able to speak and write English Fluently Demonstrated communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.

Requirements
