About the Job

In this role, the Radiation Therapy Tech is responsible for the simulation, treatment planning, and administration of a prescribed course of radiation therapy to deliver quality care to patients in a therapeutic setting. The therapists also perform quality checks on the machines, participates in quality improvement initiatives. Maintains accurate and concise records, daily billing and other related documentations.

Here's What You'll Do

Responsible to start and maintain a course of radiation therapy with minimal risk and complications.

Administers daily radiation therapy treatments, checks prescriptions, information in Aria and other related systems, ID patients correctly, explains procedures to patients, prepares rooms & patients for treatment, maintains patient's markings.

Minimum Required

  • Associate degree
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications

Required

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) by American Heart Association only
  • Approved Radiation Oncology Therapy License
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)

Pay Range

$40.00 - $59.92 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least an Associate degree and hold certifications including CPR, ARRT, and IEMA licensure. A Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience are preferred.
