Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Crisis Therapist to join the Children & Youth Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT).
Description The MCOT (Mobile Crisis Outreach Team) Therapist works collaboratively within a team to provide crisis response services to individuals (all ages) in Davis County experiencing behavioral and/or mental health challenges.
This position is community based and requires the individual to provide services in homes, schools, and other community settings.
Essential Job Functions The Youth MCOT Therapist is responsible for the following job duties: Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and regularly scheduled supervision.
Complete all required training that is assigned to this position by the defined deadlines.
Maintain professional and ethical standards.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
Other duties and responsibilities and needed and assigned.
In addition, the Youth MCOT Therapist is responsible to perform the following essential functions: Respond to crisis calls and participate in mobile deployments in the community.
Provide crisis assessments and intervention when necessary.
Provide immediate intervention to assist the individual to de-escalate behaviors and emotional symptoms impacting their ability to function safely in the community.
Connect individuals to ongoing services and supports to help them in maintaining in the community.
Provide routine follow-up with individuals and, as appropriate, their families after crisis situations and post-hospitalization to promote continued stability.
Experience Required Professional experience in crisis intervention, specifically with youth and families, and in providing clinical care to youth and their families is required.
Crisis intervention experience is strongly preferred.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Required Qualifications Education/Licensure/Certification Current licensure in the State of Utah as an LCSW, CMHC, or MFT is strongly preferred; however, the position may be under-filled by an individual who is licensed in the State of Utah as a CSW, ACMHC, or AMFT who is nearing completion of full clinical licensure.
Crisis worker certification preferred; required after hire.
Strong preference given to bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates.
Current certification as a Designated Examiner (DE) is strongly preferred.
Candidates who are eligible but not yet certified will be required to obtain certification following hire.
Must be at least 18 years old.
All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening.
Since Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants the company and its employees must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
The employee must be able to drive and must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record to be covered by DBH insurance.

Ability to work in environments where exposure to unpredictable or emotionally charged situations may occur while maintaining professional composure and situational awareness. Good organizational and practice management skills. Ability to work independently and effectively. Spanish-speaking is highly desirable.
Schedule & Work Environment Schedule This is a full-time position and is normally assigned to weekdays.
This schedule may require evening work to accommodate the needs of the clients and their families.
DBH reserves the right to require overtime, weekend work, and/or assignment to evening or night shifts, depending upon operational need, some in and out of state travel may be required.
The proposed scheduled is Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The specific schedule will be determined by the program supervisor upon hire.
Work Environment This position operates in a combination of office-based and community-based settings.
Services may be delivered in outpatient clinics, client homes, schools, hospitals and other community locations as clinically indicated.
This role requires flexibility in scheduling to meet client and program needs and may include travel within the county for outreach and community-based service delivery.
It may require the use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with organizational policies. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, managing clients in acute behavioral health crisis.
Compensation This position is classified as full-time, exempt.
Base Rate The base rate for fully licensed clinicians is calculated with a starting annual rate of $77,000 plus credit for years of full-licensure experience as defined below: $77,000.00 to $88,000.00 per year is the approved base rate range 1% per year for each year of full licensure $3,000 Spanish-language incentive annual stipend (paid bi-weekly) available.
Must pass a Spanish assessment.
The base rate for under-licensed clinicians (CSW/ACMHC/AMFT) is $65,000 per year.
