Perform interrogation and assessment of implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. Manage remote transmissions and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff in an outpatient setting.
The Cardiac Device Technician works with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a busy outpatient device clinic. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician, and/or mid-level providers. Duties and responsibilities will include interrogation and assessment of implantable cardiac devices which include pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop recorders, as well as management of remote transmissions. The Device Technician will work closely with device clinic RN's and will be under the clinical supervision of the implanting physicians and will report to the Nursing supervisor or Clinic Administrator.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a health or science field and national certification from CCI or IBHRE. Candidates must have 2 years of experience in healthcare or cardiac patient assessment and BLS certification.
