Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.
Provides direct patient care as delegated by the RN and Medical Staff.
Monitors and records vital signs, observes patients' physical, mental, and emotional condition and reports any changes to the nursing or medical staff Provides indirect patient care.
Performs and documents general therapeutic/diagnostic measures.
Acts as transporter Assists with updating the Emergency Department Tracking Board/Care Manager (EDTB) Job Requirements Required High School Graduate, upon hire or High School GED, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days Preferred One (1) year of previous Emergency Room experience preferred, upon hire
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days of hire. One year of previous Emergency Room experience is preferred.
