Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN), provides accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms of an assigned patient population through continuous cardiac monitoring surveillance within established standards of care, policies, and procedures. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to support the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.
Education: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Certification & licensure: BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (not required for remote telemonitoring staff)
EKG-Technician within 30 days
OR CCT (CCI) - Certified Cardiographic Technician within 60 days
OR CRAT (CCI) - Cardiac Rhythm Analysis Technician within 60 days
OR Demonstrated understanding of the heart's electrical system and ability to differentiate EKG rhythms through successful completion and passing of competency testing within eight weeks (determined by the hiring manager)
EKG, CCT, or CRAT not required, however, employees must demonstrate understanding of the heart's electrical system and ability to differentiate EKG rhythms with accuracy to the level of competency of recognized certification
Shift Hours: 8
Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend
Weekly Hours: 28

Pay Range is $35.33 to $49.46 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
