Sentara Hospice is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an LPN.

Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a home health care setting is responsible for providing direct, one-on-one care to patients in their homes. This role involves monitoring patient health, administering treatments, managing medications, and offering essential support to patients with various medical needs. Collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians, is required to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that improves patient well-being.

Anticipated Status/Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)

Night Shift (Anticipated schedule Mon-Fri 12AM-8: 30AM)

Hourly Range

$22.39-$37/hour

Education
Trade School Graduate for Nursing (Required)

Certification/Licensure
LPN License in state of practice (VA) (Required)
BLS (Required within 90 days)

Experience
2 years' experience (Required)
Prior hospice experience (Strongly preferred)

Requirements

Candidates must be a Trade School Graduate for Nursing with a valid VA LPN license and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with prior hospice experience strongly preferred.
