The surgical technician is responsible for preparing the operating room and instruments for surgical cases across various patient age groups. They anticipate the surgeon's needs during procedures and assist with the post-operative cleanup of the room and equipment.

Under direct and frequent supervision, the surgical technician is responsible with the preparation of the operating room and instruments for assigned surgical cases. Responsible for performing own job duties in the Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age patients. He/she anticipates the needs of the doctor before and during the procedure, assists in clean-up of the room and instruments after the procedure, takes surgery call.
