How you'll make a difference Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity Provide support to all veterinarians and assist other departments as requested Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients including critical care patients Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine Perform various laboratory procedures including but not limited to blood typing, cross matching, and slide agglutination testing Accurately take and process abdominal, thoracic, appendicular, spinal, and skull radiograph while following appropriate radiation safety protocols Properly use and maintain medical equipment Provide professional client communication What you will bring Registered Veterinary Technician required Experience working in an ER setting preferred, but not required A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects Schedule Thursday through Saturday, 12:00pm - 12:00am Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00pm - 6:00am or 9:00pm - 7:00am Day shift is to be determined, but will consist of either four 10-hour or three 12-hour shifts Salary $24.00 - $29.00 / hour, based on experience $3.00/hr swing shift differential $5.00/hr overnight shift differential $3,000 sign-on bonus for RVTs hired to work in either the ICU or Patient Care Ward

Requirements

A Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license is required, with experience in an emergency room setting preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical skills, reliability, and the ability to communicate effectively.
