About the role

The Medical Assistant will prepare patients for physician visits, administer injections, and assist with in-office procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating patient communication and scheduling.

Position Raleigh Capitol Ear, Nose, Throat & Allergy is hiring a full-time, onsite Medical Assistant in Raleigh, NC to keep patient visits running smoothly and support our providers' clinical work. You'll help create a welcoming, efficient experience for every patient while maintaining accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities include

  • Room and prepare patients for physician visits
  • Administer injections and assist with in-office procedures (including scopes)
  • Support pre-op and post-op care, patient education, and minor procedures
  • Help start provider notes and facilitate patient communication
  • Assist with appointment and procedure scheduling

Required skills/qualifications

  • Medical experience preferred; medical certification not required
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast-paced clinic
  • Ability to use iPads and EMR systems

Schedule Monday - Friday, 8am- 5pm. No weekends. Your day starts by preparing for clinic, reviewing the day's schedule, and coordinating with teammates to keep patient flow running smoothly. As patients arrive, you'll move between rooms, adapting to changing needs, assisting with patient care, and helping ensure each visit stays on track. Throughout the day, you'll document care accurately, communicate updates with providers and team members, and wrap up by closing clinic.

Requirements

Medical experience is preferred, though medical certification is not required. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced clinic and proficient in using iPads and EMR systems.
