About the role

Assist dentists with implant surgeries and restorative care while managing operatory inventory and maintaining a sterile environment. Provide exceptional patient support, including scheduling, post-surgical instructions, and basic laboratory procedures.

Part Time: 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures with a focus on implant surgeries and restorative dental care.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of dental instruments and ensure their proper use and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory control in the operatories, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Strictly adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Deliver exceptional patient interactions, including scheduling appointments, providing follow-up treatment information, post-surgical care instructions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Perform basic lab procedures, such as taking impressions, pouring models, and preparing cases for external labs.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas and treatment rooms.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the center.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license required.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably with a focus on implants and restorative dentistry. 1+ years required
  • AOX experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental instruments and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic lab procedures and manage inventory effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and office cleanliness.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to various duties as needed.
  • Requires some flexibility in scheduling.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment (PC, telephone, file cabinets, copier, fax machine and printer). The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may need to travel to healthcare practices.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma, a Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license, and at least one year of experience as a Dental Assistant. Preference is given to candidates with AOX experience and a strong background in implants and restorative dentistry.
