About the role

Assists nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in the safe delivery of patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsible for coordinating care with other departments and maintaining clean, well-stocked equipment and supplies.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Job Summary: Assists nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in the safe delivery of patient care. Assists in coordination of patient care with other departments. Assists in the maintenance of a well-stocked, no expired supplies/equipment, and clean Emergency Department.

  • Education:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age.
  • Required
  • Experience:
  • Minimum: six (6) months patient care experience for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). No experience required for Nursing Students who have completed their 1st semester of clinical rotations; or Florida Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
  • Required
  • Certification/License/Registry: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association. Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Candidates must have six months of patient care experience as a PCA/CNA, be a nursing student who completed their first semester of clinicals, or be a licensed Florida EMT.
