The Dental Hygienist develops and maintains oral disease control programs and performs dental prophylaxis. They are also responsible for assembling diagnostic data and instructing patients on improving oral health.
The Dental Hygienist shares responsibility with the dentist for the major functions of developing and maintaining an oral disease control program (prevention), assembling diagnostic data, and performing dental prophylaxis. Instructs patients in techniques for improving oral health.
Reports to: Dentist//Dental Director and Clinic Administrator
1. Graduation from an American Dental Association (ADA) approved school of dental hygiene and licensed by the State of California. 2. Preferably bilingual English/Spanish. 3. The MIS Patient Information System access level is N/A. 4. Current CA driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage acceptable to he NEVHC's insurance carrier.
