About the unit 5 North East is a 35-bed medical-surgical care unit with 6 progressive beds.
We provide compassionate and high-quality patient and family-centered care for a wide variety of surgical and medical patients.
5NE regularly cares for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, peripheral vascular surgery, general surgery, and trauma work as well as patients with Congestive Heart Failure.

Provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
High school graduate or equivalent Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred. Nursing Assistant certification preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required
Requires a high school diploma and Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross. Completion of a nursing assistant program or one year of experience and a Nursing Assistant certification are preferred.
