Responsibilities

• This position will work 100% on-site in Southaven, Mississippi Performs analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients.
• Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
• Testing is performed in specialized laboratories and may include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.
• Responsibilities may include but are not limited to instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to optimize testing.
• Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
• May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection.
• Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals and other hazards.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer a visa for this role.
• Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F1 STEM OPT extension program.
• This position is a limited-tenure role intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory.
• As the organization matures, the role is expected to transition to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate company operating independently from Mayo Clinic Laboratories.

and schedules may vary as operational milestones are achieved with the anticipated post-launch schedules: First Shift: 2:00 AM – 10:30 AM Second Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Third shift: 7:00pm- 2:30am Tuesday–Saturday

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program required.
• Experience working in a medical field preferred. Moderate to advanced computer skills.
• Possess good written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects.
• Phlebotomy preferred.Basic Life Support certification may be required within six months of hire, depending on location of hire. Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LXMO) certification may be required depending on location of hire. Application Requirements: (please attach)
