SUMMARY Coordinate total nursing care for patients using Emergency Nursing standards and the nursing process; participate in patient and family teaching; provide leadership working cooperatively with other health care providers.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current BLS Healthcare Provider card.
Must have current ACLS and PALS certification or obtain within six months of assignment in ED.
Six months previous Med-Surg or ED experience recommended.
CEN, BTLS, TNCC are recommended but not required.
Current State Nursing License in Pennsylvania.
Requires a degree from an accredited School of Nursing and a current Pennsylvania State Nursing License. Must hold BLS certification and obtain ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of assignment.
