The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Participate in ongoing research studies in the Vaccine Research Unit relating to respiratory illnesses such as influenza and COVID-19, phase 1-3 vaccine studies, studies in therapeutic agents in both adults and pediatric populations. Position requires the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills in communicating with adult subjects and their families, their health care providers, and hospital staff at Strong, Highland and RGH, and a willingness to develop the logistics of subject enrollment, persistence and flexibility in assuring on-going subject cooperation and good data collection skills. On occasion, this position may require travel to private medical offices and Urgent Care facilities in the Rochester area to enroll potential subjects and obtaining required samples.
8 AM-4: 30 pm; wknds; evenings and weekends required; schedule varies based on operational needs

The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) will work daily to implement interventions aimed at improving asthma care delivery and reduce morbidity for children in the Rochester community.
The Pediatric Nurse will regularly communicate with both internal and external parties (i.e., caregivers and children, primary care and specialist providers, school health staff, pharmacists, insurance companies, etc.) to provide guideline-based asthma care, and will provide ongoing education and support to internal/external parties around asthma care through Zoom, telephone, and in-person (homes, schools, etc.) communication.
The Pediatric Nurse will adhere to protocols, maintain timely communication with families and medical providers, and will track and record intervention components in a database.
The Pediatric Nurse will also support research needs as necessary, including study recruitment, obtaining informed consent, administering surveys, conducting medical record reviews, and supporting dissemination of results.
The Pediatric Nurse will have appropriate clinical knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and passion to support and advocate for children and families from marginalized communities.
The position requires a flexible schedule, a valid driving license and personal vehicle for travel into the community.
Other duties as assigned.
