GENERAL PURPOSE Performs complex laboratory assignments, planning and conducting experiments of limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Leads tasks associated with research activities and lab support for lower-level technicians. Serves as unit operations liaison to ensure compliance with departmental or University policies, procedures, and defined internal controls. Ensures accountability and stewardship of University resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental standards and procedures.

Requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of experience in sampling, monitoring, or research activities. An associate's degree in Health Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
